At our Wohlen AG location, we are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer to join our team as:

 

Senior Process Engineer Laser CoC (gn) 
 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical customer and research projects, ensuring technical execution, quality assurance, and on-time progress.
  • Operate and program Laser CoC equipment, creating and optimizing precise process toolpaths.
  • Drive continuous improvements in process and product quality through advanced process engineering, meticulous documentation, and efficient project execution.
  • Implement robust quality control measures, including post-process inspections, non-destructive testing (PT, VT), and comprehensive data analysis to ensure the highest standards in product integrity and consistency.
  • Oversee end-to-end process optimization, from material selection to final delivery, ensuring alignment with stringent industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Support customer projects by providing expert on-site technical training and guidance, ensuring seamless adoption and integration of advanced technologies.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to test, evaluate, and implement innovative process parameters for both new and existing materials, pushing the boundaries of laser and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Create and validate CAD models and technical drawings for tooling and fixtures, while actively supporting the industrialization of new projects and pilot programs.
  • Act as the key technical interface for customers, preparing detailed technical demonstrations, presentations, and comprehensive reports to facilitate strong partnerships and shared success.
  • Foster an innovative mindset by driving the adoption of cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and forward-thinking solutions within the laser and surface engineering domains.

 

Your profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in laser cladding, hardfacings, welding, additive manufacturing, or laser surface treatment processes.
  • Strong expertise in technical project management, with an ability to manage complex customer and research projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC and robotics equipment.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to challenge conventional approaches.
  • Passion for innovation and the ability to think creatively, especially in the context of additive manufacturing and advanced material processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate across internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • Hands-on experience in operating, optimizing, and maintaining production machinery.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace and power generation sectors is a strong advantage.
