Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Westbury NY facility. In this role, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, demonstrating strong proficiency with tools and shop mathematics, and performing both routine and corrective maintenance on machinery. You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with support as needed. With guidance, create tools and fixture if needed to perform maintenance. Knowledge on all manual and CNC machines maintenance including multi axis and/or Swiss. Understanding of automation and working on COBOTs and Robots. Perform and track a preventative maintenance schedule.

Your Responsibilities:
- Able to read blueprint and schematic, aptitude with tools and shop mathematics.
- Be able to perform machines maintenance and repair.
- Be able to T/S and resolve machine operation (Mechanical/Electrical) issues with support if needed.
- With guidance, create tools and fixture if needed to perform maintenance.
- Knowledge on all manual and CNC machines maintenance including multi axis and/or Swiss.
- Does HSE/5S/Safety inspections and audits as requested.
- Develop processes and procedures for machine maintenance.
- Responsible to maintenance preventive maintenance in all machines and test equipment.
- Track and report all maintenance issues and order MRO.
Your Profile:
- 10+ years maintenance experience, or technical equivalence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS, with mandatory skills in Word and Excel.
- Hands-on electro-mechanical experience working with machinery, equipment, and related systems.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating strong independent thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of maintaining electro‑mechanical equipment.
- Self‑sufficient in troubleshooting electro‑mechanical problems.
- Able to manage workload effectively and multi‑task as needed.
- Capable of managing several projects simultaneously.
- Experienced in managing and following a preventative maintenance schedule.

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $30 to $46 per hour. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
