
CSC PrC Project Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- The Incumbent is responsible for the managing the entire new product development and successful transfer to production, includes sampling, project management & training.
- Management / execution of Customer projects with focus on Strategic PrC Customer projects:
- Process definition of Surface Solutions for new customer applications including Pre and Post Treatments and handover to Production
- Delivery of technical information to Sales for cost calculation
- Realization of sampling and Verification of results through appropriate applications tests
- Validation of products and/or processes, in collaboration with customers
- Constant monitoring of progress, project cost and schedule according to internal regulations
- Respect of all quality requirements linked with the field of applications
- Feasibility evaluation for new requests/opportunities
- Define customer project development guidelines for new family of product or new markets, support roll out of new products
- Coating Process development and improvement not covered by R&D programs and Customer or Market specific (incl. coating transfer to other coaters)
- Development of specific testing capacities (application lab: test rigs…)
- Constant monitoring of scientific literature and patents, filing of patents, scientific publications, talks at conferences.
Required education, experience, knowledge
- University degree / diploma in science/ engineering.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in managing product development & project management activities in the Coating/mechanical/service industry.
- Technical expertise in coatings or mechanical topics.
- Planning of agreed resources with available capacity & priorities based on new recognized risks
- Basic knowledge of the automotive & Aerospace industry and Q-Core-Tools including APQP
- Understanding of customer requirements
- Strong entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach driven by efficiency.
- Highly experienced in managing customer relations.
- Very good communication and supervisory skills / team building skills
- Expertise in problem solving techniques
- Open and positive mindset with experience in international and cross-cultural business environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications , Project management tools and Computer Technology.
