We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer to work at our busy facility in Marple
At Oerlikon Neomet, we mainly supply to the Aerospace and Energy Markets. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will To operate at the front end of our company in order to act as the link between Oerlikon and its customer base with technical & commercial expertise.

Your Responsibilities
- To provide a ‘best in class’, efficient & responsive service to our global customer base.
- Provide support to our internal teams in the generation of quotations in line with market conditions, customer and business requirements.
- To support in the development of orders and assist with prioritisation of these for the internal business.
- Interpretation of customer / technical requirements and documentation and perform contract reviews.
- Utilisation of ERP/MRP systems (Eg. Syspro) to ensure all customer requests are managed and processed effectively.
- Inter-departmental communication & support.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, directives and legislation.
- Extract data from technical drawings to support the development and develop requests for production, production routing and workshop equipment.
- Demand analysis to improve Sales & Operations Planning process.
Your Profile
Essential skills
- You will have worked in a technical environment from a highly regulated industry: Aerospace (preferable), Automotive, Marine, Defense.
- You should be able to understand engineering and production terminology.
- You will have had exposure to roles in Customer Service, where support and interaction was provided to customers to deliver products and services.
- Strong IT skills– ERP systems and Microsoft and be able to deliver regular reports.
Desirable skills
- It would be beneficial if you have commercial experience with the ability to understand and work to contract requirements.
- Ideally, you will have Export Trade Control experience.
- Niche/bespoke mechanical engineering and manufacturing/business experience.
- Engineering qualification to HNC level
