HR Senior Shared Services Analyst
Job Summary
We are looking for a HR Senior Shared Services Analyst for our Schaumburg, IL headquarters. The Senior Shared Analyst will responsible for managing all shared services-related reporting and analysis, pulling data for payroll audit requests, handling payroll tax notices, and maintaining tax jurisdictions. This role also includes providing backup support for the Payroll Administrator and Benefits Analyst. Generate reports to analyze trends within Shared Services and identify potential issues. Perform period audits to ensure data accuracy and identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend system enhancements. The role collaborated closely with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and IT. The Senior Shared Services Analyst will monitor and respond to inquiries received through the shared services ticket management system.
Your Responsibilities:
• Ensure payroll operations are performed in compliance with company polices, country, state, and local laws
• Generate ad hoc and regular payroll reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders
• Responsible for all aspects of a weekly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now
• Security Master for ADP Workforce NowActs as a back-up for the Benefits Analyst and familiarizes themselves with the ADP Benefit Model, benefit reporting, and billing
• Serve as backup for the Payroll Lead in processing payroll and maintaining payroll-related tasks
• Manage complex and/or sensitive payroll requests, ensuring deadlines are met
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including handling payroll tax notices
• Maintain and update payroll tax jurisdiction data
• Assist with SOX audit compliance and ensure payroll processes align with audit requirements
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, such as Finance, Accounting, and IT
• Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees via the shared payroll inbox and ticket management system
• Routinely, conduct audits on payrolls, such as bonuses or Sales bonuses, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action
• Requires high levels of competence, confidence, and creditability as interactions are frequent with all management levels
• Performs other duties as requested/required
Your Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in payroll processing with a solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficient in ADP Workforce Now payroll application
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex payroll issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent future issues
- Familiarity with payroll taxes and government regulations
- Ability to contribute to process improvements and ensure payroll processes are efficient and compliant
- An initiative-taking approach to problem-solving and issue resolution
- Experience with Power BI report creation

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $87,200 to $110,000 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
