Sales Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
- Locate new customers, assess the potential for wear protection coating and collect all the necessary information in line with the customer master in CRM (Customer Relationship Management System).
- Extend prompt after sales service to the developed Customers on a regular basis to customer’s satisfaction.
- Develop new customers and new applications for the BALINIT® / BALIQ® / BALITHERM® / BALTONE® / BALIMED® etc. brand surface solutions.
- Attend enquiries prepare quotations, negotiate and finalize the orders at the customers end.
- Keep track of all activities and developments at the Customer’s end. Update CRM
- Keep follow - up of new and amended work orders, payments against balance receivables.
- Propose sampling & testing to demonstrate the benefits of wear protection coatings. Record Success with Cost Benefit Analysis / Failure stories and Minutes of Meetings with Customers.
- Co - ordinate seminars as per requirement of assigned areas or specific customers. Arrange the pre-requisites of a seminar like venue, facilities available with the customers, participant’s etc.
- Sales engineer chalks out his plans to meet the targets budgeted to him.
- Maintain all the required files and documents. Co-ordinate with Manager sales for the implementation of Key Customer Management System (K.C.M.).
- Update all the data related to CRM on a regular basis viz. Visits, Opportunities. Campaigns, Complaints, Forecast, Budget. Blue-sheet etc. Ensure data quality at highest level.
- Concentrated effort for payment recoveries in co-ordination with Commercial Department. Escalate to manager in case of additional support required, if any
Required education, experience, knowledge
- Diploma in Engineering / Degree in Engineering (Mech /Production)
- NTTF or equivalent certification an added advantage.
- Strong entrepreneurial and goal oriented approach driven by efficiency.
- 7-10 Years in Sales of Dies & Moulds ( Plastic & aluminium forming tools)
Required skills & expertise
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Open and positive mindset with experience in cross-cultural business environment
