
Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Plymouth, MI facility. In this role you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading the equipment used in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems as well as proven ability to weld and fabricate metal tools and equipment.

Your Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on atomization equipment, including vacuum pumps, metal atomization systems, cooling water systems, dust collectors, blenders, and powder screening equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize production downtime
- Maintain and support plant environmental systems, including air filtration and ventilation systems
- Collaborate closely with production and quality control teams to identify, analyze, and resolve equipment-related issues
- Install, test, and commission new equipment and systems in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage daily work orders and respond to operational requests related to facility maintenance and plant safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient maintenance shop in accordance with 5S methodologies
- Maintain plant grounds and security systems under the direction of the supervisor
- Assist with training maintenance technicians, plant operators, and other personnel as needed
- Manage maintenance parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and inventory control
- Partner with engineers and operators to observe, test, and evaluate equipment operation to diagnose root-cause failures and implement corrective actions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, with demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and repair of building systems, including equipment, lighting, and electrical power and distribution systems.
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Working knowledge and hands-on skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
- Proven mechanical aptitude, with the ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and translate specifications into finished work.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
