Operator Fixturing
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cleaning of parts and fixturing and defixturing of parts for blasting and coating
- Maintenance, storage and retrieval of fixture
- Select and prepare appropriate fixtures for various component geometries and spray angles
- Secure components onto fixtures using clamps, jigs, or custom tooling to ensure stability during coating
- Ensure alignment and orientation of parts for optimal spray coverage and coating adhesion
- Safely remove components from fixtures post-spray without damaging the coating
- Inspect fixtures and components for any signs of wear, damage, or coating defects
- Clean and maintain fixtures to ensure readiness for future use
- Tag and transfer coated parts to the next process stage (e.g., inspection, curing, packaging)
- Inspect and maintain fixtures used in thermal spray booths, including jigs, clamps, and rotating assemblies
- Diagnose wear, misalignment, or damage in fixtures and recommend corrective actions
- Perform preventive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and extend fixture life
- Collaborate with thermal spray operators to ensure fixture compatibility with coating requirements
- Assist shift leader in there daily activities
- Adherence to all safety requirements
- Maintain safety,5S & discipline within department
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Stop production & shipment incase of non conformities and inform higher Ups.
- Quarantine and release the parts after obtaining approval from QM
Required education, experience, knowledge
- ITI / Diploma
- Minimum 1 years’ experience
- Customer oriented approach.
- Good communication and skills
- Open and positive mindset
