Interim Accounts Payable Team Lead 
 

 

Service delivery for Oerlikon’s Legal Entities : Americas, Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Türkiye, Austria, Romania, Brazil and Argentina withing AP Interim (12-month with the possibility of extension) role based in Warsaw Shared Service Center.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Team stabilization – Taking over responsibility for the AP team in a challenging organizational situation, setting clear priorities, and ensuring operational continuity.
  • People leadership – Actively working with the team (1:1 conversations, feedback, coaching), strengthening engagement, and building a sense of safety and accountability.
  • Review and optimization of AP processes – Conducting a comprehensive end-to-end review of AP processes, identifying areas requiring improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and timeliness.
  • Operational “hands-on” support – Direct involvement in the AP team’s operational activities during periods of increased workload or risk, ensuring process stability.
  • Leading and supervising the Team, ensuring its high performance
  • Ensure high quality of operations to fulfil KPI’s and SLA’s requirements
  • Working with each direct report to establish goals and delegate tasks in line with their skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Responsibility for the distribution of tasks among team members adequately to tasks’ priority and amount
  • Drive Oerlikon Success Model
  • Conducting Performance Review meetings and preparing development plans for the team members
  • Active participation in the recruitment process (leading interview meetings) in accordance to the needs
  • Responsibility for new staff onboarding process including access to required IT systems (ERP, BW, Compass, Cognos, TM5, Share Point, local drives, ICR Tool, general mailboxes, etc.) as well as required trainings
  • Being first point of contact for Local Finance and SSC team members in the supervised area as well as maintaining constant contact with them
  • Responsibility for the compliance of the supervised area with the specified accounting policy and other internal and external regulations (e.g. ICS)
  • Drive and ensure implementation of process improvements
  • Act as a backup for Team Manager as needed
  • Other tasks delegated by the direct supervisor

 

Your Profile

 

  • A track record in Leadership roles in an operations setting
  • University degree in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration preferable
  • Knowledge of SAP preferable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel required)
  • Fluency in English
  • Great self-management and organization skills
  • Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Critical thinking, ability to analyze problem root cause and driving short- and long-term solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to connect, network, state expectations clearly, mediate and resolve conflicts
