We offer a unique and exciting job opporuntiy for an Industrial Engineer with strong background in production manufacturing who is responsible for defining, optimizing, and industrializing manufacturing processes related to vibrofinishing, polishing and PVD coating preparation, ensuring performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met. The role acts as a key interface between production, quality, maintenance, and R&D and you work in an international environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Process Engineering & Industrialization
- Define, document, and optimize vibrofinishing, polishing and PVD preparation processes of the production site cubimateria
- Lead industrialization of existing and new products and processes, from prototype to series production.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and routing definitions.
- Define process parameters, equipment settings, and acceptance criteria over the entire production process
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze cycle times, yield, scraps, and rework related to vibrofinishing, .
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or aesthetics.
- Analysis of market benchmarks and technical solutions for vibrofinishing and polishing
PVD Manufacturing Support
- Collaborate closely with PVD engineers and operators on:
- Data collection&analysis on Process capability&stability
- Surface preparation quality (pre- and post-polishing & vibrofinishing)
- Definition of PVD and washing frames vs products
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration Act as technical interface with Production, Quality, R&D, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
- Participate in audits, risk analysis exercises and validation activities. Support qualification of new equipment, tools, consumables, and suppliers.
- Documentation & Standards Maintain process documentation in line with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Train production teams on new or modified processes
Required education, experience, knowledge (max. 7list education, experience, knowledge, special licenses needed to perform the job):
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience.Sound experience in production manufacturing and operations environment, having worked in previous roles as production leader or similar
- Multiple years of experience as Industrial Engineer / Methods Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands-on experience in vibrofinishing and polishing processes (manual and/or automated).
- Industrialization and process validation experience
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Good data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience in PVD manufacturing, preferably in precision, luxury, or high-quality industries (e.g. watchmaking, medical devices, automotive, decorative coatings) will be considered as a plus.
- Proficiency in English (working level).
- Knowledge of French and/or Italian is a plus.
- Comfortable with standard industrial IT tools (ERP, MES, Excel, process documentation tools).
