Shipping & Receiving Clerk 
 

 

We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our Huntersville, NC facility. In this role you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of inbound and outbound materials, with a focus on traceability, cleanliness, and compliance with quality standards. Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the clerk ensures all inventory movements are properly recorded in SAP and supports the overall production flow.

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Receive inbound shipments of raw materials, powders, components, and supplies, verifying quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Perform visual inspections of incoming materials for damage, contamination, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all receiving and shipping documentation is accurately recorded and maintained in SAP.
  • Pick, pack, and ship finished parts and materials according to customer and internal specifications, including proper labeling, protective packaging, and traceability documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers for daily pickups and ensure outbound shipments meet deadlines.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and consumables
  • Follow all material handling protocols, including those specific to additive manufacturing environments (e.g., powder handling procedures, ESD precautions, clean zone practices).
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area; support 5S initiatives.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely as needed.
  • Communicate with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and cross-functional teams to resolve material or shipment issues quickly and accurately.


 

Your Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • In compliance with U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • 1–2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations; experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn SAP ERP system for inventory and logistics transactions.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow written work instructions.
