Learning & Development Manager 
 

 

We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager - this position can be based in any of the following locations: Huntersville NC, Detroit MI or Westbury NY. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Leadership & Culture and a dotted line to the Head of HR Americas, this role develops and support regional training and development programs, support change processes, and be a competent contact person for managers and HR colleagues throughout the Americas. With your expertise and enthusiasm for talent and organizational development, you will help our employees reach their full potential—ensuring our company remains sustainably successful.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and develop learning programs for leadership and professional skills, using blended and digital learning approaches.
  • Create engaging digital learning content (e-learning modules, virtual classrooms, microlearning) to support scalable development initiatives.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops and team development sessions, ensuring high-impact learning experiences.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to identify learning needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Support regional roll-out of global learning initiatives and adapt content for local relevance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating program effectiveness and integrating learner feedback.
  • Work with HR & Business leaders to develop training programs that can be scaled to multiple countries
  • Advocate & train on the value of Oerlikon’s training programs to country HR and business leaders
  • Shape the design and execution of the region’s team workshops

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of HR, Training, or Organizational Design experience
  • Experience using digital tools to scale and create training and development modules
  • Experience facilitating onsite training and team building workshops
  • Experienced in project management
  • Knowledge of MS Office, very strong excel skills and general affinity with IT tools
  • Travel 20% of the time

For individuals assigned, hired to work or working remotely in/out of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Nevada, Washington State, or New York, Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $120,000 to $150,000 / year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
