
Fixtures Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
- Should lead, develop and executing design for production equipment for all applications.
- Development and customizing of innovative & complex Fixture designs, concepts, batch-load estimation for any coating business
- Creates improved techniques and workflows
- Implementation of new fixtures (incl. measuring, assembly, test & documentation)
- Close and pro-active cooperation within the GFT, trains and leads (as Buddy) GFT members
- Self-management of his tasks and sub-projects incl. independent clarification
- Leads sub-platform / basic projects
- Follows the Oerlikon Balzers GATE processes, documentations and work instruction of BEFI
- Documents: Results, Manuals, Design rules
- Active support of all related departments
- Active support of all fixtures hard (f.ex. FI test bench) - and software systems (f.ex. JIRA, PDM etc.)
- Solve tasks that essentially belong to this position, even if they are not listed here
Required education, experience, knowledge
- Bachelor / Technical degree in mechanical design /engineering, or comparable discipline or further education
- Several years of working experience in a relevant field / the area of thin film coatings
- >3 years experiences in designing precise mechanical constructions
- Very good 3D-CAD knowledge
- Has good know-how about coating processes and applications
- Has good know-how about Fixture manufacturing technology
- Reliable, innovative, self-structured, enthusiastic personality with an independent and goal-oriented way of working
- Working knowledge of vacuum and thin film coating is a plus
- Effective verbal /writing skills and strong presentation skills.
- Has good know-how about the bench- mark of Fixture.
