
Thermal Spray Project Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Thermal Spray Project Engineer to lead the introduction of new projects into our thermal spray production facility. Working closely with customers, sales teams, operations and quality departments, you will take ownership of projects from initial enquiry and sampling through to full production, helping drive business growth across demanding sectors including Aerospace, Motorsport, Formula 1 and Energy.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage new customer projects from concept, sampling and validation through to regular production.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and laboratory data to develop robust manufacturing solutions.
- Create technical proposals and production documentation.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal stakeholders. [
- Develop production routes including pre-treatments, thermal spray processes, robot programming and post-processing operations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Quality and international colleagues to deliver best-in-class customer solutions.
- Use ERP/MRP and CRM systems to effectively manage projects and customer requirements.
Your Profile
Essential Skills
- Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Marine or similar.
- Proven thermal spray experience, including robot programming and booth set-up within a controlled production environment.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of surface engineering processes including thermal spray, machining, micro-blasting and mechanical polishing.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience supporting technical projects and building strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency with SAP, CAD applications and Microsoft Office
Desirable skills
- Aerospace industry experience, including NADCAP requirements.
- Export control experience relating to military/aerospace products.
- Commercial awareness including pricing and profitability analysis
