Repair Shop Lead
 

 

Oerlikon Textile, Inc. is seeking a Repair Shop Lead for our electronic shop at our Charlotte, NC facility. The successful candidate will join an established team in a modern, climate-controlled repair facility. This is a Monday through Friday first-shift position with flexible work hours. The Repair Shop Lead is a key role in coordinating and administrating repair functions, including receipt, shipping, and SAP administration (such as work order creation, invoicing, and subcontracting coordination). The lead also assists the Department Supervisor with spare parts and other activities as required and manages the site when the Supervisor is absent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the reporting of labor hours
  • Replenish repair inventory and supplies
  • Set up and process repair orders in SAP
  • Enter parts and labor into repair orders
  • Inspect in process and completed repairs before shipment
  • Create and send purchase orders both internally and externally
  • Filing and administration of receiving and shipping documents
  • Creation and completion of job files and work orders
  • Prepare quotes and manage customer files to ensure that are up to date
  • Invoicing and communicating with customers for completed work
  • Coordinating subcontracted work and correct logging of the associated billing
  • Assist the Department Supervisor with spare parts responsibilities
  • Filing and administration of purchase orders
  • Ensure proper accountability of repair parts and the associated billing
  • Receive and process inbound supply and facility materials
  • Assist with inventory as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with enterprise software such as SAP, Peoplesoft, etc.
  • Ability to move freely and lift 20 pounds overhead
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to learn
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English fluently
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with staff and customers
  • Associate degree or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with data entry
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
