Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join Oerlikon’s Global IT Infrastructure team!
This is a key engineering role with technical ownership of SDN and other network services in a cloud driven environment.

Your Responsibilities
- In this role, you’ll lead the evolution of our global network infrastructure, combining deep technical expertise with a forward looking vision to accelerate digital transformation.
- Implement & Optimize: Build and optimize resilient global network services with a proactive mindset focused on performance and reliability.
- Innovate and Transform: Contribute your expertise to high-impact corporate IT projects and digital initiatives.
- Collaborate: Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to align technical solutions with business goals.
Your Profile
- Networking: The ideal candidate combines deep experience in legacy network design with hands on expertise in SD WAN, Cisco SD Access, and wireless technologies, and a passion for modernizing global networks.
- Security Stack: Experience in perimeter security, with a strong focus on Cisco, Palo Alto, and AWS technologies.
- Cloud/On prem: Practical experience in hybrid on premises and cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to interface confidently with executive leadership, business units, and external partners.
- Communication: English proficiency is required for seamless integration into our global IT operations and stakeholder network.
- Mobility: Exhibits strong self-initiative and readiness for occasional international travel.
