
Manager Network Services
Are you ready to design and execute a global strategy for network services, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies in a worldwide environment? Then we are looking for you as Manager Network Services, a critical leadership role within Oerlikon’s global IT Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for managing SDN and network security services within a cloud-driven environment.
Join our Oerlikon team in Italy, in Brugherio (MB).
Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for network services, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
- You drive innovation by assessing and adopting emerging technologies in software-defined networking and supporting technology solutions.
- You lead and mentor a global team of engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- You closely work together with external partners and service providers to combine external knowledge with internal needs, to follow our goal to become a leading digital company.
- As part of our digital transformation path, we currently have multiple ongoing corporate IT projects. Your experience, your ideas and knowledge are highly appreciated in those areas.
Your Profile
- In order to be successful in this challenging role, you bring along proven experience in IT infrastructure management and engineering, with a strong focus on network and network security services (SD-WAN, SD-Access, Wireless and Perimeter Security with focus on Cisco & AWS products).
- 10 years of experience in network services, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- In your previous roles you already worked in a modern, hybrid environment consisting of on-premises services (branch sites) as well as cloud services (datacenter services).
- As we build our new solutions “as code” to follow our digital path, your practical experience in programming is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with IT leadership, business units, and vendors.
- You have a high level of self-initiative and drive to get things done.
- You are comfortable communicating fluently in Italian and in English (German is a plus).

- A permanent, full-time employment contract under the Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL). The gross annual salary for this role starts at €59,000. The final compensation package will be determined based on predefined, objective, fair, and gender-neutral criteria, including professional experience, relevant experience in a similar role, educational background, technical expertise, and soft skills.
