HSE Specialist
We are looking for an HSE Specialist to join our team. Working alongside the QHSE Manager, the new colleague will be responsible for operational and managerial activities related to Health, Safety, and Environment, supporting operations in achieving compliance with legislative requirements and corporate standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and enabling continuous improvement.
The position is based in Brugherio (MB).
Your Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE management system, collaborating with the QHSE Manager and RSPP in periodic activities (e.g., follow-up on corrective and preventive actions, data collection and monitoring of KPIs).
- Identify HSE training needs in line with legal requirements and corporate guidelines for each role; organize, coordinate and provide training programs to meet these needs.
- Coordinate activities related to risk assessments (DUVRI Documento Unico Valutazione Rischi Interferenze) and ensure contractors’ compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop procedures, guidelines, and supporting documentation providing information and instructions on how to manage and prevent risks, with a particular focus on lock out – tag out (LOTO) procedures.
- For Brugherio site oversee waste management compliance, ensuring accurate records and adherence to regulations (RENTRI); for the other sites, monitor and check.
Your Profile
- University degree in a technical or scientific discipline (preferably Techniques of Prevention in the Environment and Workplaces, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Workplace Safety Engineering).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
- Additional certifications such as Safety Trainer or ASPP are considered a plus.
- Experience in delivering safety training is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety as well as environmental legislation.
- Strong interest in prevention, topics of prevention and protection of workers.
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to the company's other locations once/twice a month.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
