Data Governance Specialist 
 

 

Oerlikon is embarking on an ambitious data-driven journey, with a brand-new cloud data platform to be built at the heart of this transformation as enabler for Analytics, AI and digitalization in general.

In this context we are looking for you as Data Governance Specialist to support the Data Governance Lead in the definition and implementation of a complete data governance framework, based on a federated approach, including policies, processes, data literacy initiatives and configuration of the data governance platform.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Support the design and maintenance of a data governance framework (based on Data Mesh), data governance policies, standards and target operating models, aligning with security and compliance.
  • Drive data literacy across the company through education and training of technical and non-technical stakeholders in data governance topics.
  • Support data product owners in analyzing and specifying business requirements as well as project management.
  • Support data stewards and other business side roles in their efforts to increase quality and governance of the data in their domain.
  • Ensure Data Quality: implement processes and tools to monitor, analyze and improve the quality of data throughout the organization, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Metadata management: maintain Oerlikon’s company wide data catalog.
  • Supports Master Data Management initiatives to help harmonize data and processes in a complex and globalized business context.

 

Your Profile

 

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or business.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in roles related to data management and analytics.
  • Various experience in data management and analytics, ideally in data quality, data cataloguing and associated technologies (preferably MS Purview and MS Fabric).
  • Experience in business analysis and project management activities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Italian and in English (C1 or higher).
  • Availability for occasional international travel.
