Data Engineer
Oerlikon is embarking on an ambitious data-driven journey, with a brand-new cloud data platform to be built at the heart of this transformation as enabler for Analytics, AI and digitalization in general. Data Engineering will play a key role in this journey, ensuring the delivery of Data Products.
In this context we are looking for you as a Data Engineer to analyze business requirements, transferring them into solution concepts and implementing them on our new MS Azure/Fabric based Data Platform.
This position is in Brugherio (MB).
Your Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements related to data management and analytics.
- Develop solution concepts, following guidelines, templates and best practices.
- Implement data management solutions, included integration, transformation, data modelling and storage on Microsoft.
- Deliver maintenance to developed solutions if necessary.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology or similar.
- Proven track record of at least 4 years of work experience in roles related to data management and analytics, such as data engineer, data architect and similar.
- Proficiency in data modeling methodologies and tools (understanding of concepts such as normalization, and experience in designing entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams).
- Experience with cloud data platform solutions including data storage, integration tools and frameworks, data management and data governance products.
- Understanding of general cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles and tools, and how to use them in a data management/analytics environment. This includes knowledge of CI/CD on Azure and GitHub.
- Proficiency in Italian and in English (C1 or higher)
- Experienced in multinational and geographically distributed work environments.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Factory and/or Fabric.
- Proven experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
