Product Manager Advanced Carbon Coatings (gn)
 

 

The Product Manager Advanced Carbon Coatings takes global responsibility to drive the expansion of new, high performance carbon coating technology into new markets and to develop/implement the respective product strategy to establish/defend market leadership.

 

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Development and implementation of strategic product initiatives
  • Evaluation of market and customer needs, incl. competitor analysis for specific products
  • Support of local key account managers to develop the business and provide technical/commercial guidance
  • Joint customer visits with local sales organizations as technical consultant to key customers
  • Channel “market needs” from the regions to the Product Line organization
  • Representation of customer interests internally to foster customer satisfaction
  • Establish a presence at key technical conferences

 

Your Profile

 

  • University degree in technology (materials science, physics, mechanical engineering or similar)
  • Several years of experience in surface technology (PVD or PACVD coatings, experience in carbon coatings beneficial)
  • Experience in managing technical products and product portfolios in a global matrix organization in a B2B environment
  • Sales experience of high tech products is a benefit
  • Language: English (fluent; must), German preferred
  • Flexibility to travel (approx. up to 40%)
  • Exceptional customer orientation as well as technical and technological understanding
  • Constructive as well as critical challenging mindset with experience in international and cross-cultural business environment
