As a Global Operations Trainer and Lead Auditor (gn), position can be located in any German site or across Europe, you will share your production expertise with our teams worldwide and ensure compliance with our global standards through international audits. In doing so, you will make an important contribution to the continuous development and quality of our production processes worldwide.

 

Your Role in Our Team

  • Independently design, deliver, and continuously develop global training and coaching programs for plant and operations managers, focusing on production processes and manufacturing technologies.
  • Take professional responsibility for the creation, development, and quality assurance of training modules in accordance with Oerlikon Balzers standards, while ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer across our sites.
  • Assess and qualify training participants, prepare certification decisions, analyze global training needs, and further develop the training roadmap.
  • Independently plan, conduct, analyze, and continuously improve global Operations and Forming Tool audits in line with the audit roadmap and global production standards.
  • Take responsibility for updating and ensuring the quality of audit questions and the Mandatory Policy in coordination with specialist departments and other Lead Auditors.
  • As Lead Auditor, assess sites regarding compliance with production standards, safety requirements, and mandatory policies, and define and communicate audit results up to Regional President level.
  • Define and follow up on mandatory corrective actions and continuously optimize audit processes, audit documentation, and evaluation methods to ensure globally consistent, transparent, and traceable audit assessments.

 

Your Profile

  • Completed technical vocational training or a university degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, or a comparable technical field. Alternatively, at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in production management or as a service technician.
  • Sound knowledge of PVD/PACVD coating and vacuum technology.
  • Experience or knowledge in the field of audits is an advantage.
  • Strong results- and solution-oriented mindset, combined with an independent, proactive working style and a hands-on mentality.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and networking skills, as well as a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Good written and spoken English skills; additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as willingness to travel internationally approximately 50% of the time.
