Your role in our team

Strategy & Market Development
-
Develop and execute a clear Sales & Operations strategy for all market segments in alignment with global product lines and divisional leadership

Actively manage the product and service portfolio, anticipate market trends, and drive profitable customer and volume growth

Represent Oerlikon Germany towards customers, employees, global leadership, and key stakeholders

Business Performance & Operational Excellence

Ensure delivery of financial and operational targets (monthly, annual, mid-term planning)

Manage KPIs, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas

Optimize cost structures, resource allocation, and service footprint while ensuring compliance and quality standards

Sales Excellence & Customer Centricity

Build and lead a customer-focused sales organization with fast decision-making and deep market knowledge

Identify and develop new market opportunities, implement value-based pricing strategies, and strengthen customer relationships

People & Leadership Development
-
Lead, mentor, and grow the German leadership team and broader organization
-
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous talent development in line with Oerlikon’s human capital strategy

Your profile
- University degree in Engineering or Business Administration or similar
- At least 5 years’ experience as managing director with P&L and legal responsibility, ideally in a technology-based company in production or manufacturing environment
- Several years’ experience in managing profit centers, ideally with a service business model close to coating technology
- Language fluent reading and writing in German and Englisch. Any other European language is a plus
- Solid experience in global account management
- Experience of managing multi-locations and remote management
- Experience in creating and implementing organization-wide projects and strategies and/or transformation agendas with proven results
