Global Account Manager Automotive Plastics Processing
Your Responsibilities
- Business Opportunity Identification:
Identify and develop new business opportunities with European OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the lighting, interior, and exterior sectors - Sales Planning & Strategy:
Analyze the commercial activities of each OEM/Tier 1, scout for future projects, and develop a comprehensive annual sales plan. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and gather all relevant business information - Plant Visits & Stakeholder Engagement:
Periodically visit relevant plants to meet decision-makers and other key personnel involved in managing tooling projects, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs and requirements - Sales Argumentation & Pricing:
Prepare compelling sales arguments and pricing guidelines to acquire new business - Service Solution Specification:
Ensure that OSS service solutions are nominated and specified according to OEM/Tier 1 tool and die standards for targeted applications - Order Management:
Manage and monitor created orders throughout the entire sales process, from initial quotation to final acceptance of the provided service solutions - Information Sharing & CRM Management:
Share relevant customer and application information within the “Oerlikon plastics community,” while consistently updating the CRM system with customer details, visit reports, and future project information - Competitive Analysis & USP Development:
Deliver strong, competitive arguments for Oerlikon service solutions in the respective application area. Provide valuable input for developing a competitive service portfolio to strengthen the company's market position
Your Profile
- Degree in plastic/polymer science with a focus on injection molding, and tool maker know-how for injection molds
- Proven experience in GAM/KAM management in the targeted Automotive segment, specifically selling technical products
- Self-driven, positive mindset with experience in international and cross-cultural business environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish and drive a culture of excellence
- Strong network and deep knowledge within the European automotive plastics industry
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record in managing complex projects across multiple locations and cultures
- Fluent in English and French - German an advantage
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
