Production Specialist 2nd Shift
We are looking for a Production Specialist for our Agawam, MA facility. This full time position is for 2nd Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM but you will train on 1st shift for up to 4 months from 6:00 AM to 2:30. PM. In this role you will ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of various equipment and machinery within a production environment. This involves using technical expertise to operate machinery, troubleshoot issues, perform quality checks, and contribute to workflow optimization. Additionally, the role demands a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration within a team to meet production goals.

Your Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of equipment (e.g., coating vessels, blasting machines, polishing machines, cleaning lines, quality inspection equipment)
- Switch between tasks, machines, or departments based on operational needs
- Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions
- Document processes and issues accurately
- Visual inspection, packing, and shipping
- Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and inventory
- Make informed decisions within the scope of responsibilities
- Work closely with others to achieve shared goals
- Efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Follow standard procedures and interpret customer work instructions
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality Management to identify and address quality concerns
- Proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials
- Use various forms of PPE (e.g., respirators, gloves, safety shoes)
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to streamline processes
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Your Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certifications in equipment operation, safety, or quality control (preferred)
- Experience with industrial tooling, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance
- Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or systems (e.g., cutting tools, ERP systems, MS Office)
- Effective verbal and writing skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Reduction in the cost of non-quality
- A Maintained high on-time delivery standard
- Minimized equipment downtime
- A high level of customer satisfaction
